Chhatrapati Free Clinic is totally a local initiative. There are about 500 registered members who elects the Executive Body every four years. The Executive Body appoints the Medical Director and all other members of the staff are appointed upon his recommendation. This body also publishes all financial statements and its activities. This transparency has contributed to the goodwill of the clinic. All executive members are volunteers.
Though the medical staffers were volunteers during the early years of the clinic, all personnel are presently paid but the salary is quite insignificant compared to the pay in private institutions.

The administrative body reports on the state of finances and the activities of the CFC every year on the anniversary of the clinic's foundation. This permanent openess has largely contributed to the high reputation of the clinic.
