Disaster Preparedness at Community Level

Pioneering work of disaster preparedness at community level is underway at the Clinic. Ward 17 Disaster Management Committee, a joint undertaking of Chhatrapati Free Clinic, Rotary Club of Thamel, Chhatrapati Unit of the Nepal Red Cross and other local youth clubs, is located at the clinic. We plan to train at least 200 local volunteers in first aid and search & rescue under our Emergency First Aids & Disaster Preparedness at Community Level programme as our response to the real threat looming over Nepal – massive earthquakes due any time.
