Funding / Support action
In a way, the membership system of CFC resembles a typical health insurance. All members of the clinic have to pay according to their membership status. Ordinary members pay a nominal monthly fee and they receive free consultation and check-up But they have to pay for all other supplementary services. Life time members receive free treatment in return for one-comparably high donation. Non-members pay for all services as per the Clinic's regulation. This arrangement, income from rent and donations barely cover the running expenses of the clinic.
Those unable to pay even the basic fees are provided all available services free of cost.
In the whole the financial situation of the CFC is constantly overstretched. Important investments are not at all possible without external support. The recent extension of the services in the clinic was made possible thanks to contributions from institutions, companies and private donators

Chhatrapati Free Clinic is also interested in professional exchanges and continued education and training of its medical as well as administrative staff. European and American doctors and technicians have supported their Nepali colleagues from time to time.

Two young Nepali ladies were trained as dental technicians at the dental laboratories of the Gehse Dental GmbH in Jena (Germany) from 1997 to 1999.

For more detailed information on the exchange and support programmes please contact the Gesellschaft für Medizinisch-Technische Zusammenarbeit (GMZ) (German/English) or Chhatapatri Free Clinic directly (English).
